How to Use the Health Data File App

The App manages all the data by profiles. You can have as many as you want in the app (parents, grandparents, spouse, kids, dogs, ...) All of the data entered is separated by profile ... with the exception of doctors and hospitals, the information for those is available across all users

For the most part, the data fields provided are the ones that made sense to us for each item (like the result of a test or the name of a particular medication); but there is nothing in the app that forces you to use any of these in a particular way (or use them at all). The exceptions, dates are set up as dates, a few categories (like "food allergy") are pre-set in the forms, and generally items will need a name in order for you to save them; but these are minor.

For most of the categories (medications, procedures, ...) there is an option to add photos. When you save a photo in the app, the app will scan the image and pull out any text which will go into the App database on your device so you can search for it later. It will then store the image, encrypted, inside the app. In the image display, you can print the image using the normal print interface for your device.

Currently on phones / older devices records with multiple images are taking a few seconds to load due to the time it takes to decrypt the photos. This fix has been completed and is in the release process with Apple.
