Use Large Language Models to Tailor Each Resume
Describe Your Professional Experience
The App will store details about your past experiences: significant projects, accomplishments, positions, certifications, publications, and more. While a resume must be short, your accomplishments are impossible to cover in a single page.
Enter Job Postings from Anywhere
The App will ask you to paste in the job descriptions that you are interested in applying to. You will also enter information about the position like company and title. All of the positions you enter will be saved (on your computer) and the app will help keep track of the status for each one from a position you are considering through getting an offer or rejection.
Resume Optimization
For each application, the app will use a Large Language Model to analyze the job description and select which of your experiences best demonstrate the capabilities and experience required for the position. It will then write a custom resume for that position based on the experiences that you have provided.
Cover Letter
The Large Language Model will also use this information to write a cover letter for the position.
Beyond the Application
Using knowledge built into the training data for the LLM, the app will provide you an overview of the company that you are applying to.
Using a Local LLM
This application relies on a separate installation of an open source library called Ollama (https://ollama.com ), and requires that you download and run a large language model for that framework. This puts you in control of the model selection, and lets you experiment with different free models to test which output suits you best. Running a large language model locally does require that your machine have enough memory, disk space, and CPU power; but it ensures that your data stays on your machine and is not shared without your knowledge.
