Your data is yours, and with our program, it stays that way. The data you enter into the program is stored on your local device and in your iCloud account to provide a seamless experience across devices. However, none of your data is stored by us.

This program can use an open-source LLM framework, called Ollama (https://ollama.com) which you install separately from this program. This framework runs locally, and you can confirm that at their website. If you choose this option, your data never leaves your control.

You can also choose to subscribe to our cloud AI services. With this option, your data is sent to our private AWS (Amazon Web Services) solution for the generative AI interaction. When this happens, the data is encrypted on your local device before being sent over https (secure web connection) to our cloud service. We then decrypt the data on our server in the cloud and send it to the LLM for processing. The output from the LLM is encrypted again on our server before being sent back to your device. In this transaction, there are no details sent to our server that can be linked back to you ... with a few obvious exceptions. When you have the program write a cover letter, you have the option to include your contact details for the LLM to use, if you choose to not include those, you will need to make sure you edit the final result to change things like "[Insert your name]". When you have publications and patents, your name as an author or inventor is most likely entered as part of that data which is used to write the resume. If you have included personal information in other input data (other than the "Contact Information" section) then this will also be sent to the LLM. If you are concerned about this information being included, you are in control of the data that is entered into the system; but you may have to edit the final product more to insert information. The data from the "Contact Information" section is only sent to the cloud for the cover letter, if you have selected that option.

For European and other non-US customers, please note that the web services we use are located in the US. We are not tracking anything, we are not saving anything, and we are encrypting the data everywhere possible ... but you are choosing to export that data to the US for processing before it is returned. Again, we do not store any of your information, nor do we track anything that you personally are doing.

We understand that your personal details, work history, and even potential new positions that you are interested in applying to are not pieces of information that you would want sitting in someone else's hands. It is very important to us that you can control this information and can have confidence that we are not collecting it. This is why we developed this app to run locally on your machine with an LLM running locally on your machine if you desire, and why we have provided double-encryption for your data as it is transferred to our cloud solution.
